Everything. Including Christmas and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, merry end-of-2008.
This is one of the best times of the year for *eye candy*. But I don’t need to tell anybody about the stresses that come along with this time of year as well. Mixed blessings. The ying and the yang. And with each passing year, I feel the draft blow up the back of my neck as another season rushes by seemingly faster than the year before.
Whether you are a friend, commenter and/or just one of the readers that has stopped by, *Thank You* for being a part of my passion this year. I consider myself a big ‘appreciator’ and I APPRECIATE YOU.
Do something better for yourself and your world today. Each today. Not because it’s the holiday season but because it’s your life. And because you are not going to define yourself, your goals and your attitude by a calendar or a clock!! Talk about stress! Stress ages you. Dis-ease.
I admit that I haven’t posted to “The Fitting Room” or on my fave ‘net communities the last two weeks because I haven’t had an opportunity to catch up on all my great magazines from December; have been dressing like the “Michelin Man” for 30 degree, rainy California weather; AND have thought up some great ‘whatwouldIwear’ outfits but then don’t either dress or take pictures of them!
If you have an extra couple of dollars, please donate to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary or another no-kill shelter.
If you’ve had the opportunity to experience the unconditional love of an animal, then perhaps your heart is bleeding, as is mine, for all the abandoned and stranded furry souls this time of year. With Best Friends, you can even give the gift of “care” of an animal in the name of a friend or family member. Either you or they could pick out the lucky little guy or girl online and follow their life and possible adoption. How exciting! For as little as $25! And if you care about those things, it’s tax deductible. Great karma building! https://gifts.bestfriends.org/index.cfm?source=sochp I plan on visiting the place in UT some day!
If you’d prefer to donate to your local shelter, bring non-food items such as toys or blankets. One year we brought treats and food and they couldn’t use it-policy; just in case some sicko decided to poision the food they brought, I guess.
Oh and remember-this is all just a test. Just breathe. BE yoga. You are where you are supposed to be.
Be gentle with those who come at you negatively. It’s not personal. It’s not you, it’s them. And be thankful you are NOT them.
