Add to Technorati Favorites I will no longer sneer at sheer…

…I bucked at this trend bc I felt it’s a very fine line between well-played and whitetrash. Plus, ‘the girls’ tend to make this tip to the dark, whitetrash side verrrry easy. BUT, visited Urban Outfitters this weekend to load up on some basic Tees and vacation staples and came across these shirts:

I think the reason I like these (and there were pocket tanks and other basic Tee’s of similar design that I bought…in black and, of course, heatherGREY) is that they are SUPER soft and lived-in like and thus remind me of Alexander Wang’s new pocket Tees. The Dirty Violet one has exaggerated sides and runs a little long. If you are looking for soft, layering Tees that don’t run as long (so you don’t get “lines” or bunching up with some outfits), they have these too, as well as V-necks (which I’m finding just aren’t as versatile for layering (over) bc of the neckline.

Now, it’s interesting that you can barely see the bra in these pics but you can IRL. These tees are PERFECT for layering underneath with my vests, blazers, hoodies, jumpsuit, etc. and worn over a long tank or as a bathingsuit cover. FAB.
