…or maybe it’s just where I live.
I post from time to time about life behind the “orange curtain” (did you see “the RHoOC” last week??) and many of the people here who act, undeservedly, “entitled” or just plain ol’ RUDE. Today was no exception. I got a cup of coffee and put it at the end of the cream/sugar/napkin kiosk b/c some dude (wasn’t a “gentleman”-read on) was taking up most of the area. [There's always a "space hog", isn't there?!] He reached directly in front of my stomach (oh the horror…) for the cream as if it was the last bit of milky goodness on the planet and knocked my HOT coffee on top of my hand. No joke. And went on with his business.
Not only did he not say excuse me initially, or ask if I was alright afterwards (even if he didn’t think he caused the injury-WHICH HE DID), but when DH said something to him (as I’m standing there holding my hand) he DENIED DOING ANYTHING. Twice. And effectively called me a liar. Nice. Then went back to a table and laughed. [Yes, he was over 30.] I would’ve been beside myself if I even *saw* that happen to someone- man or woman.
Hope the karma train hits you today, buddy.
Mean people suck and unfortunately politeness just isn’t a common thing around ‘these here parts!’
