Add to Technorati Favorites Fit Chick Friday - the 13th!! Ugh oh…

* Friday the 13th! Are you superstitious? How’re your workouts doing this week? Mine have been doing pretty well, thank you -yoga [ mostly 2nd series ] spinning & walks. But, with workouts and in general, I’m trying to *listen* to my body more and one of the things I’ve suspected is that my bod no likey the garlic when I eat it.

Instead of the usual great LaBrea whole grain bread, the store only had garlic bread (fresh bread with cloves baked inside) last night. Never one to turn down fresh bread even though I suspected I may pay for it later…I am smelling & still tasting it everywhere. And I ate it last night. Yuck.

* This weekend I’m going to use my jump rope and try to count at least 100 revolutions. Rest. Then do it again 5 more times. I have a cheap ol’ jump rope and can do this anywhere-at home, or at the gym between weights.

* Last week we discussed canned foods and plastic water bottles. We decided that we will not eat Meals-in-cans (macaroni, soups, etc) and we will try and drink our water from glass bottles or use our nice kitchen glasses. The other article I wanted to share says that you can tell where your canned food was produced (it may not say on the label OR it may say where it was distributed from!!) by looking at the first 3 letters of the barcode.

Barcodes, such as this one, signal the country code for Taiwan (471). Barcodes that begin “69..” such as “690″ “691″ “692″ & “695″  are the country code for China. China’s food laws are less stringent, if existent at all, for exported goods. Something you may want to check out in your quest to be a fit chick.
