Excerpts from my emails and e-zines:

- Adding fish oil may increase your metabolism. Fish oil is better than using other omegas (flax, etc) because it helps with your DHEA levels by having DHA..I think that’s correct (acronyms!). Krill oil is said to be the best for antioxidants.

- Sitting back on your heels (almost like a low kneel) and having contact just past your ’sit bones’ is a pressure point to aid digestion and help stomach issues. Try for several minutes (if your knees are up to it).

- A study through NIH and in conjunction with U of So Carolina showed that for the majority of people, holiday weight gain is PERMANENT. The semi-good news is that those that are already overweight (prior to the holidays) were the ones that gained the most weight. And kept it. Get thee to the gym, fit chicks!!!!!

- Granted this was a study on men- Young men- but Craig Ballantyne says research showed that if 1g of protein per bodyweight were consumed in their diets/mealplans, participants could still lose weight and keep tone. (i.e., Lose fat and keep muscle tone & therefore keep metabolism higher than just losing all over bodyweight…)

I’m going to assume it’s 1gram per the weight you’d like to be. So for us, that’s 5-10lbs less than current ;-)
