Add to Technorati Favorites Fit Chick Friday for February 19th -who DOES this?!

Get up at 4:45 a.m. to do mysore (yoga) practice?!

Apparently a lot of people!

In fact, people arrive at the studio around 4:30. A. M. You gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. And I gotta do my practice so there I was.

* Workout yesterday consisted of: shoulder raises (for rotator cuff) -> alternating lunges down both sides of gym -> handstand -> wall sit x 30 secs. Repeat sequence 2x.

External rotation shoulder exercises -> butt to the floor close leg squats -> handstand. Repeat.

The lie down for reverse Abs -> single leg glute lifts -> more shoulder ex on my side while lifting up my legs (works on side abs, glutes & thighs). Repeat.

Then SPIN class.

TIP: think of as many bodyweight exercises as you can (besides push-ups) and use some of them as a warm-up (instead of the treadmill for 10mins or random stretching).

* I have a nasty customer service story to share next about one of those preview-sale-member-only-online-group things but today I want to share a story about a GOOD customer service story. I ordered from iHerb (code in on my page) and in less than 24Hrs, and for little more than 2 bucks shipping, my order was at my door. That ROCKS! One of the things I ordered was Turmeric.

Do you Turmeric? I do now. Here’s some information from the brand New Chapter: - “Researched for maintaining healthy inflammation response” …. “Traditionally used to promote liver health and purify the blood…“New Chapter has been in love with turmeric for decades…Turmeric has been revered as the foundation of an herbal program for health. In India’s Ayurvedic tradition, turmeric has been recognized for thousands of years as a key balancing and detoxifying herb. …turmeric is considered the “Queen” of all herbs…there are societies in Japan where turmeric juice is consumed daily. In wester scientific literature and herbal traditions, turmeric is considered by many leading scholars to be the most important herb on earth.”

and Dr Oz mentioned it too so…how can you not do it, right?!

* CLICK HERE for an article I read about black tea and it’s benefits.

For what it’s worth, I did try the suggestion previously (mentioned on my page, “Good skin…”) but with Green tea.
