Add to Technorati Favorites too much water can be bad for you…

…but it depends on WHICH water.
Yes, if you drink LARGE amounts (over a gallon) it could play havoc on your body’s electrolyte balance, among other things.

But today, I’m thinking about chicks like myself that don’t particularly like water. We try and find something that isn’t so bland.
This is my particular fave:

You know that water is important…
You know that drinking soda and artificial sweeteners are bad…

So we turn (okay, I turn) to carbonated water a la S.Pelligrino or Perrier. “Water with gas.” “Water with bubbles.”

The phosphate in the carbonated water can cause a calcium to leech from the bones!

Drinking this type of water in excess amounts (I know some chicks who get 90% of their water intake by these means) can lead to a calcium deficiency.

In addition to the strong bones/teeth benefit we get from calcium, it’s important for our metabolism which loosely translated impacts your fat loss and energy levels.

Everything in moderation. Again.
